Ethel C. Neugent

Ethel Mae Cornett Neugent, 66, of Speedwell died Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Funeral service was held Friday, July 3, at 2 p.m. at Speedwell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Doug Stuart officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Arlyn and Della Hale Cornett. She was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Cornett. Survivors include a son, Marvin Neugent of Wytheville; a sister, Mary Richardson of Speedwell; a sister-in-law, Ella Cornett of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Lea Horney, 1266 St. Peter's Rd., Speedwell, VA 24374. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
