Flora C. Jones

Flora Jeanetta Crow Jones, 89, of Bland died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Bland County Nursing & Rehab Center in Bastian. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 1, at 7 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Blankenship officiating. A graveside service was held Thursday, July 2, at 3 p.m. at the Coraopolis Cemetery in Coraopolis, Pa. She was born July 8, 1919, in Allegheny County, Pa., daughter of the late John and Pearl Hill Crow. She was a charter member of the Bland Bible Church and served in the Bland High School cafeteria for about 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O. Jones; and a daughter, Anna Pearl Jones. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Flora M. and Donald Cool of Atlanta, Ga., Donna J. and Jack Blankenship of Bland and June Hamel of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren, Edgar Cox Jr., Kent Cox, the Rev. Bob Blankenship and Cheryl Gillespie; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Jessie Wilkinson of Hookstown, Pa. A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate was in charge of the arrangements.
