Mary V. Snow

Mary Virginia Snow, 87, of Barren Springs died Saturday, July 4, 2009. Funeral service was held Monday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Holiness Church with the Revs. Jesse Walker and Ronnie Stuart officiating. Interment was in the Snow Family Cemetery. She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Frost Thomas and Viola Clark Snow. She was a longtime caregiver to her family. She was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; two sisters, Claudia Horton and Maudie Allen; and three brothers, Johnny Snow, Walter Snow and Andy Snow. Survivors include a son, James Snow of Barren Springs; a sister, Faye Carpenter of Barren Springs; a brother, Floyd Snow of Patterson; and several nieces and nephews. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.
