Harold Yates Obituary

Harold Roosevelt Yates Jr., 50, of Wytheville died Thursday, July 2, 2009. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was the son of the late Harold Roosevelt Yates Sr. and the late Caroline Ramsey Yates Hicks. Survivors include a daughter, Candy Yates of Tennessee; three sons, David Yates of Tennessee, Jamie Yates of Maryland and Wesley Coe of Wytheville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Oma and Ozzy Osborne of Maryland, Alice Hart of Kentucky, Donna Albright of Woodstock, Eva and Tony Smith of Kentucky; a brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Tabitha Yates of Delaware; and many nieces and nephews. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
