Fred Dale Reeves, 62, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 in the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, N.C. He was born in Konnarock to the late Elmer Reeves and Stella Boone Reeves and was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Reeves, and a stepson, Jake Blevins. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda Hutton and husband, Scott; sisters, Norma Powers and husband, Joe, Dotty Blevins and husband, Jack, Rachel Brown and husband, Butch, and Eleanor Trivett; brother, Elmer Reeves; grandchildren, Justin Hutton and Joshua Hutton; step-grandson, J.C. Blevins; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; ex-wife and good friend, Regina Reeves; and all his special friends at Millerwood Apartments. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 29, at 8 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home with Pastor Ernie Powers and Pastor Steve Hutton officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Walls Cemetery in Whitetop. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion, is in charge of arrangements.
