Peggy M. Freshwater

Peggy M. Freshwater, 74, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton in Ohio. She was born July 31, 1935 in Marion. She was a 1954 graduate of Bucyrus High School where she was the 1954 homecoming queen and cheerleader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Freshwater, son, Stephen Freshwater, parents, Conley L. Sr. and Myrtle M. (Martin) Rowland, sisters, Maxine Blankenbeckler, Patti Weithman, Elizabeth Musser, Doris Page, Margaret Imogene Rowland, and brothers, Conley L. Rowland Jr., William E. Rowland, and Waldo S. Rowland. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike (Tami) Freshwater of Kettering, Chris (Janet) Freshwater of Farmersville, Jason (Lara) Freshwater of Miamisburg; daughter and son-in-law, Pam (Rusty) Hurd of Alexandria, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Hoffman of Mansfield, Beatrice Blevins of Bucyrus, Belle White of Naples, Fla.; brother, Paul Rowland of Arab, Del.; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Crawford County Memory Gardens in Crestline, Ohio. The family received friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439) in memory of Peggy. Newcomer Funeral Home, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
