Mary "Chrissy" Christella Knuckles Mary "Chrissy" Christella Knuckles, age 34 of Raven, Va., went home to be with the Lord, Thurs., Aug. 13, 2009 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richlands, Va., and was the daughter of Christella Hess Knuckles and the late Dewey Rayborn Knuckles. She was a graduate of the 1994 Class of Richlands High School and was a very artful person and crayons came to life when she used them, colors were infused to bring out the beauty of a picture like never before. Her inner intelligence showed in her love for word puzzles, card games and board games, she could play a mean game of monopoly. Teddy bears were her passion, any and all kinds, her eyes could see into your soul and through her eyes you could see a heart full of love. A gift of her kind only comes from God and her unrelenting faith in God touched many hearts. Those who remain to carry on her spirit are: her mother, Christella Knuckles of Raven, VA; her sister, Lori Jane "Sudie" Knuckles of Raven, VA; her brothers: Dewey "Dupy" Rayborn Knuckles III and wife, Karen, of North Dakota, Johnny Wayne Knuckles of Mt. Airy, NC, Jody Lee Knuckles of Raven, VA; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews survive her along with her special friend Betty Boyd and a host of many more friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Mary Knuckles were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 16, 2009 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA, with the Rev. Barry Absher officiating. Interment followed at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers were Dupy Knuckles, Johnny Knuckles, Jody Knuckles, Larry Joyce, Ricky Hess, and David Richardson. Honorary pallbearers were Roger Perkins, Jr. and Darrell Hess. Friends called Sat. evening from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, VA.
