Charlotte Hicks Obituary

Hicks Charlotte Louise (Greer) Hicks, "Jay," 86, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009. She was a member of Friends Community Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Hicks, and son, Freddie Hicks. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Harrison of Lawton, Okla., and Nell Null and husband, Kenny, of Saltville; six grandchildren, Melissa Richards and husband, Larry, of Cache, Okla., Loretta (Lori) Wambsganss and husband, Andy, of Southlake, Texas, Brian Hicks of Damascus, Jackie Branson and wife, Ellen, of Saltville, Tonya Branson Trivette of Saltville, and Jaylnn Hicks of Abingdon; nine great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Linda Larmer of Chilhowie. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Maiden officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery. The family received friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, or at Mrs. Hicks' home at any time. Online condolences may be made at drhenderson funeralhome.com. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville is in charge of arrangements.
