Anita L. DeBoard Anita Louise DeBoard, 56, of Max Meadows died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009. Funeral service was held Thursday, Aug. 20, at noon at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wade Whisman officiating. Interment was in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery. She was born March 7, 1953, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Rex and Bonnie McAllister Sawyers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timmy DeBoard; a son, David Hall; a sister, Sheila Sawyers; and a son-in-law, Tommy DeBoard. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly DeBoard of Elk Creek; a son and daughter-in-law, James Rex Hall and Melissa of Max Meadows; a granddaughter and her husband, Ashley Bryant and Roger; and special friends, Mike and Mary Blankenship. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made toward funeral expenses. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
