Mary G. Lovern

Mary G. Lovern Mary Etta Goff Lovern, 77, of Barren Springs died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009. Funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 6, at 3 p.m. at the Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jesse Walker Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Hickman Cemetery in Radford. She was born June 23, 1932, in Kentucky, daughter of the late Henderson and Lenna Marie Polly Goff. She was a member of Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Lovern; three brothers, Clifford Goff, Clinton Goff and Gene Goff; and three sisters, Lake Erie, Lorraine Goff and Ethel Robinson. Survivors include her husband, Claude Edward Lovern of the home; seven children, James David Lovern of Barren Springs, Linda McKinley of Ivanhoe, Allen Jeffrey Lovern of Max Meadows, Donald Lovern, Audrey Martin of Arizona, Chris Lovern of Buffalo, N.Y., and Nathan Lovern of Rural Retreat; two sisters, Bonnie Hinkley of Dublin and Loretta Wright of Radford; two brothers, Earl Goff of the Piney community of Wythe County and Clancy Goff of Texas; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville was in charge of the arrangements.
