Marissa Shuler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 9 to Sep. 12, 2009.
Shuler Marissa Leigh Shuler died on Sept. 6, 2009, while in Mommy's and Daddy's arms. She was born on July 8, 2008. She gave her mommy and daddy the best year of their lives. In the short time she was with us, countless people were touched and lives were changed. She walked through heaven's gate and just like her favorite Sesame Street character, Elmo, she is singing "Happy, Happy, Happy" because she sees Jesus. And with her smiling, beaming face, the angels gather around holding her until we can get there. Psalm 127:3: Lo, Children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him. Survivors include her loving parents, Jared and Brittany Eller Shuler; grandparents, Melissa Eller and Melvin "Buck" Gobble of Marion, Deborah and Melvin Thweatt of Marion, and Clarence Shuler of Dublin; great-grandparents, Evelyn Barker of Marion and James and Chris Cook of Glade Spring; and a great host of other loving friends and family. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, from Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Interment followed in Resurrection Gardens. The family received friends Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion was in charge of arrangements.

My prayers and thoughts are with you, I do not know you but my heart aches for you. I know we don't always understand but God knows the future and whats best for all. I have always heard that when God comes down from Heaven ,to check on His garden , He always picks the prettiest flowers first to take back to adorn His home.
God Bless you all, I am so heartbroken for your loss.

Jared and Melissa - You know my son and daughter-in-law ...Jamie and Courtney! Our prayers have been with your family since Marissa was diagnosed. God chose another Angel to help pour out the sunshine. She is happy and smiling and playing with my little Angel, too. She will always be with you in every moment of your life. And, you will see her again someday. God bless you and Melissa and He will hold you in His hands!
