Lillian R. Marshall Lillian Rogers Marshall, 87, of Collinsville died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville/Henry County. Funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Collinsville Church of the Brethren with Pastors Roy McVey and Roy Turpin officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Burial Park. She was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Max Meadows, daughter of the late Elbert and Mandy Shinault Rogers. She attended the Collinsville Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Barren Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Marshall; three stepsons, Jesse Marshall, Everett Marshall and Will Marshall; and four brothers, Harry Rogers, Troy Rogers, Bill Rogers and Elbert Rogers. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda D. and Forest D. Henley Sr. of Collinsville; three stepdaughters, Geneva Turpin of Willis, Oleta Henley of Pulaski and Isabelle Jalis of Dumfries; a stepson and his wife, Guy and Marie Marshall of Max Meadows; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Katherine and John Rakes of Wytheville; a grandson and his wife, Forest D. "Donny" Henley II and Debbi Henley of Elon, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Kayla Elizabeth Henley and Forest D. "Trey" Henley III; several stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Ralph Davis of Clarksville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Collinsville Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 328, Collinsville, VA 24078. Online condolences may be at www.norrisfuneral.com. Norris Funeral Services Inc. & Crematory in Martinsville was in charge of the arrangements.
