Diane Short

Diane Short Diane Short, age 58 of North Tazewell, VA, passed away Sun., Sept. 13, 2009 at her home. Born June 11, 1951 in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of Robert Elswick, Jr. of Peterstown, WV, and the late Mattie Sharp Elswick. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 164 at Grundy. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Wayne Short; one brother, Robert (Buster) Elswick, IV; one nephew, Sgt. David (Bo) Lambert; and one niece, Michelle Wheeler. In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons, Benjamin (Po) Elswick and wife, Crystal, of Cedar Bluff and Raubi Elswick and wife, Michelle, of Richlands; one sister, Debra Ann of Vansant; one brother, Kimmy Dean Elswick of Peterstown, WV; three grandchildren, Alexa Elswick, Ian Elswick and Gabriella Elswick; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wed., Sept. 16, 2009 at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, VA, with Rev. Danny Houchins officiating.
