June Ferguson Obituary

Ferguson June S. Ferguson, 78, formerly of Marion, died on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Va. She was born in Cape Town, South Africa, to the late Harold and Rae Sers-Brown. She was raised in London, England. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hoover Ferguson. In London she was a professional ballet and can-can dancer. She was of the Catholic faith and had resided in Virginia Beach for the last two years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son, James Keith Ferguson of Virginia Beach; her granddaughter, Jamie Marie Mann and husband, Shane, of Virginia Beach; her two great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Caleb Mann; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving friends and family. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, from Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Father Paul Maier officiating. The family received friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is in charge of arrangements.
