Charlotte Bise Spencer

Spencer Charlotte Bise Spencer, 83, born May 5, 1926, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mamie Bise; her devoted husband, Cecil Spencer; her precious daughter, Cassandra Spencer-Bejarano; and two brothers, Berton E. Bise and Irdell Bise. Survivors include four grandsons, Thomas, C.J., Michael and Jonathan; three sisters, Patsy Tilson, Girthel Smith (Edward) and Dot Fore (Ronnie); three brothers, Otis Bise (Jean), Lowell Bise (Patsy) and Jack Bise (Wanda); many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. John Pruett officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.
