DANIEL SCOTT CLEARY
AGE: 19 MATAWAN
Daniel Scott Cleary, 19, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009, at his home in Matawan. He was born in Red Bank and a lifelong resident of Matawan. Daniel was a student at Lackawanna College, Scranton. Pa, a 2008 graduate of Matawan High School and a four year varsity starter for the Matawan Huskies football team.
Daniel was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Charles T. Cleary. He is survived by his parents, Charles and Donna Carroll Cleary of Matawan; his brothers, Charles W. and Thomas M. of Matawan; his paternal grandmother, Margaret Cleary of Matawan; his maternal grandparents, William R. and Judith A. Carroll of Aberdeen; his aunt and godmother, Patrice M. Cleary of Matawan; his uncle, Christopher G. and aunt Tammy Cleary of Monrovia, Md.; his uncle and godfather, Michael and aunt Patricia A. Houjak of Aberdeen; his niece, Soledad Spinelli of Matawan; his cousins, Jessica and Kaitlyn Houjak of Aberdeen; and his cousins, Alison, John and Morgan Cleary of Monrovia, Md.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 17 at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, July 18 at St. Joseph's Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, entrusted with Daniel's care. Online condolences may be sent to www.dayfuneralhome.com.

To the Cleary Family,
May the Lord speak peace to your heart when questions go unanswered. Stand firm on the promises of God that he will never leave us nor forsake us, and that nothing, nothing will separate us from his love. Please find peace in knowing the Dan is in good hands.
Danny had lived an amazing life even though it was rather short. Dan was a great friend; he was the kind of friend that stands by you when you need somebody to be there. I will always remember his sense of humor. He was the kind of person that would make everyone laugh so hard that and up crying. That was his trademark. He always wanted to make people happy.
Dan’s death was sudden. I remember when I heard the news I simply could not believe it. Dan was too young and he was so well-loved. I will forever be grateful to have known Danny. Dan will forever live in our hearts.
Dan touched our lives. How he made us laugh and let’s remember how good Danny was as a person. This is not the moment for us to shed our tears but we should all be thankful that we were given the chance to have known a man named Daniel Scott Cleary.
Dan will forever be missed but I know in the right time, I will meet Danny again. We will all meet Danny again and he’ll make us laugh in tears again.

Dan was an amazing young man with a bright future ahead of him. He always made me laugh and knew how to keep my spirits up. Although I only knew him for one year, my college memories with him will never be forgotten. My prayers are with the Cleary Family. God Bless, He's watching over all of us<3
