EMILY J. BERARDO
AGE: 40 LANOKA HARBOR
Emily J. Berardo, 40, of Lanoka Harbor, Lacey died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008 at Community Medical Center, Toms River after a courageous battle with a rare pancreatic cancer. She was a graduate of the Lacey High School Class of 1986 and The College of New Jersey in 1990 with a BAFA. Emily was a talented artist, a loving Christian woman devoted to helping others and the church. She was loved by all.
Emily was a loving wife of Michael Berardo,a loving mother to Holly and Caitlin, a devoted daughter to Harry and Patricia Bird, Whiting, a daughter-in-law to Gene Berardo, Whiting and sister to Adrienne Bird, Lanoka Harbor, Lacey; Christopher Bird, Forked River, Lacey and Jenifer Fornarotto and her husband Stephen, Eagleswood. Surviving are three nieces Faith, Farrah Franchesca and a large loving extended family.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Manahawkin Baptist Church.

Mike, Holly, Caitlin and the rest of the Berardo and Bird family -
Gary and I were so saddened to hear of your loss. While we did not know Emily, from reading the preceeding reflections it is clear that she had all of life's blessings (especially love of family) except for length of years. Our wish for you all is that some day soon the days of remembering Emily with tears are outnumbered by the days of remembering her with smiles.

Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done.
Emily you are now in God's throne room, gathered in a new body and joining with a crowd of many singing praises in the presence of God. Holy. Holy is the Lord God Almightily. Who was and is and is to come.
Emily you were the sister I never had, a friend who never changed, a bridesmaid, and an inspiration at every turn in lessons of "how to". I.e. How to have a marriage, How to love your family, and How to trust God in the impossible.
You prayed anyway and kept on believing anyway and kept on loving anyway.... and Mark and I and all who were privileged to know you, are the richer for your friendship.
