WILLIAM CORNELISSE, SR.
AGE: 89 FORKED RIVER
William Cornelisse, Sr., age 89, of Forked River, Lacey Township, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Kensington Manor, Toms River. Mr. Cornelisse was born in Holland and came to the United States in 1921 and had lived in Westchester County, N.Y., and had lived in Lacey since 1979. He had worked for AT&T of White Plains, N.Y., retiring as an accounting aid in 1980, after 30 yrs service. He was a member of the D A V, #81, Old Guard Chapter #19 of Forked River, and the Forked River Presbyterian Church. He also served his country in the US Army during WWII. He also was a former member of Mariner's Lodge F&AM # 150 of Barnegat.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Dolores, in 1994. Surviving are his wife, Frances Hoenninger Cornelisse; his son, William, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth; one daughter, Corinne and her husband David Albertson; two stepsons and one stepdaughter. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Nicole Spaloss, Sarah Smith and Allison Cornelisse, 7 step-granddaughters and numerous great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riggs Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 Rt. 9, Forked River, N.J. Interment will be held at Good Luck Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to either the Forked River Presbyterian Church, 131 Rt. 9 North, Forked River, N.J. 08731 or to the DAV. Chapter #81, Forked River, N.J. 08731.

Corinne and Dave, Very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. My dad passed away this year as well, and not a day goes without me thinking of him. My prayers and thoughts to you and your family.
