AGE: 76 LONG BRANCH
William J. Seaman, 76, of Long Branch, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Before retiring in 1989, he was employed for 20 years by Thomas Procter Co., Long Branch. He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Long Branch and was a member of Long Branch Council #335, Knights of Columbus. Born May 12, 1931 in Long Branch, he was the son of the late Otis R. Seaman and Gladys Potter Seaman.
He was also predeceased by his stepfather, F. Lawrence Craig. Surviving are his devoted and loving sister, Lois Seaman Stevens White of Eatontown; three nieces, Susan Stevens of Jupiter, Fla., Sally Stevens Edwards of Melbourne, Fla., and Linda Stevens Ferrentino of Oceanport and Jupiter, Fla.; a nephew, Chris White and his wife Deenen, Williamston; his grandnephews and nieces, Adam and Steve Humiski, Kristen Ferrentino, and C.J. White; and a great-grand niece, Amelia Humiski.
Billy loved his family and received their love in return. He was always a devoted Long Branch Green Wave supporter and would often travel to see "away" games. His favorite pastime was riding his scooter on the Long Branch Boardwalk, earning the title of "Mayor of the Boardwalk". Please remember him in your prayers.
