I don´t know if anyone who knows my father will ever see this, but this is his daughter, Holly. I´m 12 now, so its been quite a long time. In the 4th grade a guidance counselor at my school told our class "You can´t miss someone you never knew.".That is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard. It is completely wrong. I may have never gotten to know him, but I know he´s around. It´s something I think about a lot now. I miss him every day. He gave my mom a letter before he passed. I finally got to read it about a year ago. I just hope that if you know someone is going through a rough patch, be there for them. One little thing could determine life or death. - Holly

Another Christmas is coming and the loss of a friend is still present! Not as unbelievable as at first but still there just the same. Comfort comes now from fond memories and telling others little thoughts of him. Books or art or even a certain Deli sandwich can envoke the good times! Hope Carl is resting in heaven and that his burdens are none!! Still miss him dearly!

We are blessed to have a dear family and friends while on this earth, and once in a great while, someone extraordinary enters our lives - Carl was one of those people. We were very fortunate to be "Aunt Katheryn and Uncle Kenneth" to a darling little boy, who we watched grow into gracious, loving, kind man. Carl's family is very dear and special to us - we love you.

Being here in North Carolina, we don't get to see our Georgia family as much as we wish. Randy and Carl were very close back when they were younger and the family trips occured more frequently. Randy has many happy memories of the crazy, fun things he and Carl (and all the Stanley and Huddleston kids) did way back when. It is a shame that when we get older, we let that closeness go too easily for all the pressures and demands of the world.

We love all our family, near and far! You are all in our hearts, always!

Love!

I have many fond memories of Carl from High School. He was a very nice guy who was very intellegent. I saw him at our 30 year class reunion and he looked great. He will be missed. My heart was saddened to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his family.

Carl was a good friend at Campbell High School. We shared many classes and had a lot in common. We was a good-hearted person then, and that's the type of basic attribute that doesn't change with time. I had not seen Carl in many years, and I am saddened by his passing. God Bless.

Carl was a friend at Campbell High School. We shared a number of classes together our senior year. He was always a great person to engage in discussions on any topic, academic or otherwise. I was saddened by the news of his passing. I can still remember talking about our favorite physics teacher.

Though I knew Carl for a brief time, he was both a gentleman and a gentle man. His kindness and consideration of others marked his relationships with everyone. He is and will continue to be missed.

I don't know exactly when my little brother became my big brother. He took care of all of us, his family and his friends. There is so much I want to share with him, so many things I need his advice about; we always had so much to talk about. Well, I will just talk to him when I need to. Carl is the most honorable, amazing man I have ever known.

Carl, I love you and miss you. A part of my heart has gone on to glory.

I was fortunate to have my law office in space leased to me in Carl's office on S. Atlanta Road. In the relatively short time that I knew Carl, I found him to be generous, kind, thoughtful and a true gentleman. We shared common interests such as a love of history and bluegrass music! Carl was a truly nice man and I know how much we will all miss him.

Shirley, Amy, Donna and Ashley,
You all know how much Carl meant to me. Sometimes we are blessed to have someone like Carl come into our lives; they make us want to be better in all we do. I don't think a day goes by that something doesn't remind me of Carl and all that he was. Just keep him in your hearts and he will live on forever thru us and the influence we have on all that we meet! Love, Penny
