Pat,
I was so sorry to hear about Nancy. You and your family have been on my mind. I was glad to be able to read about Nancy. Trudee had told me that she was a very special lady. I would have known that if she was your wife, she had to be very special.

One day Nancy came to my mom's house and upon answering the door my neice announced, "Grandma your sister is here". From then on Nancy was known in our family as "her sister". My mother Vangie, Nancy and Shirley Huffaker were the trio of friends that stories are made of, they have gone to lunch for their birthdays for 40 or so years. Today was a sad and bittersweet tribute to these special friends Mom told me she doesnt have any regrets with Nancy. I pray that I will have the capability to be the kind of friends that these women have been. Nancy, we love you and the example of a select woman that you were and will live in my heart forever. Thank you for being such a special friend to my Mother, and family.

Dear Pomeroy Family,
I was saddened when my father called me this morning and told me that Sis. Pomeroy had passed away. I feel fortunate to have been able to spend some time in your home when I was in high school, and I always loved Sis. Pomeroy and thought highly of her. She was so kind and made me feel welcomed whenever I was in your home. She was truly an elect lady.
I am sorry that you lost your wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and I will be thinking of you all and praying for you at this time.
Sincerely, Luisa (Moody) Suorsa

Dear Elder Pomeroy,
My mom told me about Sister Pomeroy's passing. I am sorry you have had to say goodbye to her prematurely. I have wonderful memories of our time together on Temple Square as missionaries. I was honored that you two came to hear my homecoming talk in Phoenix over 10 years ago. May you be comforted and feel the love of your Family and Heavenly Father.
Love,
Holly Carter

All of us who knew Aunt Nancy were very fortunate. She used the time God gave her to be with us in a loving and caring way. Let her life be an example to all of us that sincere caring, compassion and love
can have a positive impact on others. She had a capacity to meet people where they were at, and knew no strangers. I very much appreciate the time and letters I shared with her.

I am so lucky to have been blessed with such a sweet Aunt. I remember the first time I met Aunt Nancy I was 15 years old.We only had a few days together and in that time she took me to the fabric store and made me a dress. I can still see it , a purple dotted swiss fabric and I felt so special that she would take the time to make me that on our first meeting. I am also very grateful to her for being my cheerleader when my mother passed away. She remembered me and wrote me words of encouragement and she was such a positive influence to me. I will truly miss her. Even though the miles kept us apart we were bound by family ties that streched clear across the country. Uncle Pat and cousins our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time .What a wonderful legacy you have to remember her by. With love to you all, Janet and Bob

I am saddened at the loss of Nancy. She was such a wonderful example of service and kindness. I will never forget her wonderful Sunday dinners (I can almost smell them now) that I was able to partake of often with her family, as they shared with me the most precious life changing gift of their religious beliefs. Even though I have not seen Nancy or her family for some time, I often think of and speak of them as I have the chance to share with others that most remarkable time of my life.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Uncle Pat. We love you and Aunt Nancy and will treasure the memory of the times you spent with us. I will forever remember one of our trips to Mesa and you took all of us on tour near the temple. I am also very fond of the time I spent personally with you, Aunt Nancy and Grandma Osterloh when I was in the MTC. Thank you.
