To the family and friends of Mark.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I didnt know Mark that well, but we were working together for the past two years on a case and in that time I had spent working with Mark, he was a very knowledgable man. You have your memories, and those will always be with you.

Take Care and God Bless.

Carol, Amanda & Max,

I am so lucky to have become close with your family over the past 18 years. When my mother became very ill you were all kind enough to welcome my younger sister and I into your home almost every night for many years. I will always remember the sleepovers, vacations and all of fun that we had together. For this my family and I will be eternally greatful.

Mark was an amazing man who always thought of others before himself. He encouraged everyone to live life to its fullest and to always pursue knowledge. I consider myself lucky to have had Mark apart of my life for so long. Mark will be missed by many and remembered for his kind nature and lust for life.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Please let me know if there is anything I can do during this trying time.

My name is Mike Jasper, and I had the pleasure of meeting Mark at a writing workshop in 2000, and we've had a great time emailing and keeping in touch and sharing our writing with each other. Mark was a juggernaut of a writer, putting together wild plots with wonderful characters that always surprised me and made me laugh. His wit and intelligence knew no bounds. I know he will be missed. I know I'll miss him. I feel lucky to have known him.

Hi,

My name is Shelly Brown, I am 18 years old and I have been a lifeguard at the Phoenix Downtown YMCA for three years. I got the pleasure of being able to see Mark swim the butterfly every day while lifeguarding for the master swim team. Mark never, yes I said it never missed a day... The coach missed many days yet Mark was there every day. On days when the was no written work out I would make up a workout of my own or out of a sheet of workouts always making the swimmers swim there worst stroke, for mark that was the "BACK STROKE". The butterfly was his first stroke upon entering the water. Mark swam the butterfly on his cool down and loved to swim the IM. Mark is a great guy and I will miss him.
