I knew John Loper for many decades and considered him a friend. He made a significant impact on drag racing and was one fo the few who built a successful eneterprise from that experience. He will be missed.

I'll always warmly remember how, so many years ago at Beeline, Johnny Loper showed me how a true gentleman races. Thank you, Johnny, for teaching me that lesson. It has stayed with me all these years. God Bless you and your fine family.

Boss Hoss,I will miss the bench racing at the shop at 6 am, the many trips to the races, shooting billiards,arm wrestling, which I always lost, and just all around your pranks,humor and great friendship, I envision the Late Steve Evans, talking up the "Black Car from Phoenix" rolling into stage for the first pass at the best drag stip in Heaven, save a spot on the crew for me.Via Con Dios, my friend.

Thanks for everything John. Your enthusiasm, your hard work, your good natured attitude, your determination and best of all, your friendship. I couldn't begin to name all the times you stood as a valued resource to me and my family. We'll race on for generations spurred, in part, by your example. Your legacy will be long lasting as we remember you, our friend and your life's work is in very capable hands thanks to your great job of being a teacher and father.

We were sorry to hear this. He was a good friend. We will never forget when He came to Seattle and Trip ran the funny car. We moved back to Az. and took John the program from the Seattle race you would have thought we brought gold he didn't have a copy of that program.

Johnny was a man who was a great asset to the racing world. Without his love and support for the sport alot of us wouldnt have been able to make things happen for our teams and associations. He was admired for his principals and views on life and has the respect of many. Johnny will be missed and will always hold a place in our hearts. May GOD bless his family and give them strength to deal with this difficult time, but may the memories of a wonderful man always put a smile on their face and all of us who looked up to the person he is.
