I still think of Elaine so very often and speak of her to some friends who worked with her. She was so smart, so quick, so funny. I miss her a lot. I hope her family is doing well.

I can hardly believe it has been 8 years since Elaine left this earth. I still think of her from time to time, and it always puts a smile on my face, makes my heart happy. She truly was one-of-a-kind. She looked in your eyes when you talked to her. She made you feel extra special. Her laugh was one you never forget. She was so dedicated to solving problems and making you feel important, like you mattered. I will always have a place in my heart for Elaine. I still miss her. I pray her family and friends are all doing well. Love, Cid Stiefel

Several months have gone by since Elaine passed away and I am left with feelings of gratitude. I am grateful for the grace and joy that entered my life 40 years ago and for the children and grandchild who added to that joy. I am grateful and beholden to the many family members who offered prayers and counsel and then consolation. And, of course her many friends who embraced her and the the kids and me in a time of great need. Thank you all for your kindness. And thank you Elaine for the wonderful memories we shared.

To the Squyres Family,
We were so sorry to hear about your wife, mother and grandmother. We met Elaine at a mutal friends wedding, many years ago. We enjoyed her smile and quick wit and enjoyed our time with Jeff and Elaine. A few years later we were in Arizona visiting and decided to see Sedona. Jeff and Elaine invited us to stop and visit them at their home. We had such a nice afternoon and evening with Jeff and Elaine, you could see they were best friends besides husband and wife. Elaine was everything that people have said in the guest book, she opened her home and heart to us and we will always be grateful for the memories we shared.
I know she will be greatly missed by everyone, but she is in heaven looking down and telling everyone not to be sad she is in the most beautiful place of all waiting for us.

I worked with Elaine at Qwest for a few years. It was the first time I was in a position to manage other employees and Elaine was always such a blessing. I learned a great deal from her and will always admire the way she was fair, honest and straight-forward. She brought joy to the entire team with her positive attitude and would always come up with a fun reason to celebrate at work. Thank You Elaine for all you have meant to me.

Elaine and I worked together at Qwest. She made work fun. She had a calendar of unusual national holidays and she'd organize a potlucks to go with them. She was out sick with cancer on her birthday one year so our team all gathered in the conference room, called her, and sang her happy birthday. All we heard from her end of the line was laughter. I can imagine her laughing in heaven right now. Thank you for the good memories, Elaine.

Jeff, Beth, Chris, and Allyson - I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. I have many found memories of Elaine, the sleep overs at your house on Christy, the little league games for so many years, and memories of visiting you at your house in Arizona in 1994. I can visualize her smiling down on everyone, may God comfort you during this time.

Elaine was a classmate of mine at Dothan High School and I remember her well. She always went out of her way to be friendly and helpful to me. My family had moved to Dothan shortly before I entered Young Junior High School and I felt like an outsider. Elaine was one of the many who made me feel at home and let me know that I belonged to the Dothan community. Thank you, Elaine, for being a part of my life then! Jeff, Chris,Beth & Allyson.
When my young daugher and I moved to Phoenix you all became our family. Elaine was there with us for the good and the bad. She was there to lend a hand whenever you needed with that pretty smile. When Jeff & I married Elaine and Jeff were our witnesses. There are so many great memories that we will cherish and very grateful to have her in our lives. I know she will missed dearly, but now she is not in pain and in peace. You have the most wonderful wife, mother and Nana so keep her in your heart just as if she was still here. I know we will. Love you all Jeff, Pam & Paul

My Mom was so wonderful, and at times I can’t believe she’s gone. She was definitely the kindest person I’ve ever known, and I can only hope to be half the person she was. Her sense of humor brightened everyone’s day, and she used it to help her family carry on over the past several months. My Mom was truly a beloved person that touched the lives of so many. She would be so proud to know that I have such amazing friends and family that have been supporting me throughout this rough time. Thank you all.
Momma - I miss your voice, your smile, your laughter, your hugs, your Sunday night dinners and your Monday night leftovers. You will always be the best Mom (and Nana) in the whole wide world. I love and miss you very much!

17 years of my life you were here for me Nana. I know you are in a better place now. I have so many great memories of us and the family. You are so easy to talk to, and so funny. From our "light game" seeing how many green lights we would get, to when I got a little older and you being so brave and letting me drive:P.There are so many more memories but I will stop there. "Shootamitey" is what you would say when something went wrong and I thought it was hilarious. Always getting me to laugh. :) I am very lucky that I had such an amazing nana<3 I love you with all my heart. Always and forever my Nana youll be<3

Dear Jeff, Chris, Beth and Allyson,
My heart breaks for all of you as I know that loosing a loved one is so difficult. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Elaine, I know she was a wonderful person through stories that Beth has shared with me. The compassion for others and sense of humor mentioned above still live through your family. I see it in Beth and Allyson-just a way to show that a part of her will always live on here on earth. I know with out a doubt that God has much in store for her on the other side! My prayers are with your family! Christina S.

I graduated from high school with Elaine. I will just say what was written in our year book about her. "Ability, affection, and true grace, speak what no words can express." I know our class of 1962 would want to express our concolences to her family. We will miss her. I was so looking forward to seeing her at our 50th reunion but I'm sure she is in a more wonderful place. Sincerely Sherry Russell Hufham
