Thank you, Mr. Manes! When I was a kid, my mom and I crossed paths with another of his students who claimed dad was tough! You are proof that he produced good results! Hmmm, I don't remember him being that tough on me!! ;-)

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I was a student of professor Lodge at SDSU in the 70's. He was one of the best professors I ever had. He was tough but fair and I sure learned Feedback Control Theory. I was always amazed how he could do complex math in his head. I went on to become an Electronics Engineer, inspired partly by your father.
