Rita Arrowitz Obituary

Rita Miller Arrowitz 1933 -2008 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Rita Miller Arrowitz, 74, Boynton Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the North Broward Medical Center in Pampano, Fla. She was born in Boston Nov. 8, 1933, daughter of Saul and Frances Straxsel Miller. She was educated in Dorchester school system and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. While in Pittsfield, she was primarily a homemaker and a volunteer at the former Hillcrest Hospital. Her husband, Arnold B. Arrowitz died, March 1, 2001. She leaves two sons, Rand A. Arrowitz, and his wife, Linda of Ridgefield, Conn., Kurt R. Arrowitz and his wife Joan of Danbury, Conn.; four Grandsons, Brent, Craig, Michael and Jason Arrowitz, and one great-grandson Jacob Arrowitz, all of Conneticut; one brother, Norman Miller, of Albany, N.Y., 12 nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was pre-deceased by one brother Stanley Miller, and two sisters, Selma Gropman, and Carol Miller. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Temple Anshe Amunim in Pittsfield with Rabbi Mark Wieder Spiritual Leader and Rabbi Harold Salzmann, Rabbi Emeritus officiating. Burial will follow in Anshe Amunim Section of Pittsfield Cemetery. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME , 40 Maplewood Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
