Douglas Ingram Obituary

Douglas Ingram LEE- VERNON, CONN., Douglas Fairbanks Ingram, 86, husband of the late Ann Louise Sitzer Ingram, Nov., 2007, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Lee, son of the late Walter and Edith Barton Ingram, he grew up in Lee before moving to Vernon, Conn., 60 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Douglas was a purchasing agent at the Carlyle-Johnson Machine in Manchester, Conn., for over 45 years. Douglas was an Army veteran of World War II. He served in the 67th Anti Aircraft Artillery Battalion in the European Theater in Normandy. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Vernon, Conn. He leaves his beloved children, Douglas Ingram, of Framingham, Deborah Lewis, and her husband, William, of Milford, and Susan Campbell, and her husband, Paul, of Manchester, Conn.; six grandchildren, Adam and Jason Lewis, of Milford, Michelle Cassano, of W. Hollywood, Calif., Marc Cassano, and his wife, Kimberly, of Nantucket, Heather Ingram, of Boston, and Todd Ingram, and his wife, Melissa, of Pentacook, N.H.; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, and Jonas Ingram, and Skyler, and Marina Cassano. Besides his wife, Douglas was predeceased by six brothers, Elliot, Walter, Edward, Bruce, Donald and Dick Ingram, and a sister, Shirley Ingram. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Lee, 25 Park Place, Lee, MA. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery, Lee, MA with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 6110 Executive Boulevard, # 1010, Rockville, MD 20852.
