Rosemarie DeAngelo Obituary

Rosemarie C. DeAngelo PITTSFIELD Rosemarie C. DeAngelo, 69, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday evening, October 8. Born in Pittsfield, May 2, 1939, the daughter of Anthony and Anna Supka DeAngelo, she was a 1956 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also graduated from the Berkshire Community College Nursing Program from where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse and as a Registered Nurse. Ms. DeAngelo was employed by Berkshire Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for 20 years. She retired earlier this year due to ill health. She was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association, and a member of PETA for the ethical treatment of animals. She loved her family and her dogs, Thunder and Cavall, and she enjoyed being outdoors. Ms. DeAngelo leaves her former husband, Dominick V. Trapani of Pittsfield; a son, Mark B. Trapani and his wife, Elizabeth, of Pittsfield; a daughter, Gina M. Strout and her husband, Brian, of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Julia Strout, Kristoffer Strout, Nicholas Trapani and Anthony Trapani. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Edward DeAngelo. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rosemarie Catherine DeAngelo, who died Wednesday, Oct. 8, will be Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m., at St. Mark Church celebrated by Rev. John C. Salatino, Pastor. Inurnment will follow in the St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ms. DeAngelo may be made to the Friends of Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
