Antoinette Daoust Obituary

Antoinette Daoust 1913 - 2008 PITTSFIELD Antoinette M. Daoust, 94, of 45 Main St., Sugar Hill Assisted Living, Dalton, died Thursday Oct. 16, at Craneville Place of Dalton. She was born in Hinsdale on Nov. 26, 1913, daughter of late Luigi and Domenica Biondi Cianfarini. She moved to Pittsfield as a child, and attended Pittsfield schools. She was employed at the former Glix Brandt Company on Fourth St. for 15 years and then by the Nascon, a division of Eaton - Sheaffer Company for seven years, and retired in 1986. A former communicant of Notre Dame Church in Pittsfield, she was a member of the Ralph Froio Senoir Center, R.S.V.P., Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and was a volunteer at Berkshire Museum. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, cooking. She was a member of the Senior Ball Committee at the Ralph J. Froio Senior Center and was an alternate at the National Silver Hair Congress in Washington, D.C. in the year 2003 and 2004. She also attended the 92nd Birthday of the late Rose Kennedy. She leaves her husband, Odessa A. Daoust, they were married on July 25, 1936, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church; one son, Robert A. Daoust, and his wife, Lorraine, of Pinehurst, N.C., one daughter, Phyllis A. Lozo, and her husband, Charles, of Pittsfield, daughter-in-law, Elaine Daoust of Harrogate, England. Nine grandchildren, Alan, Thomas, Theresa, Stephen Daoust, Karen DiCarlo, Debra Emmerson, Col. Christopher Lozo, Adam Lozo, Nathan Lozo. 17 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Philip A. Daoust, who died on June 11, 1993, and predeceased by three brothers, Nato, John, Patrick Cianfarini and two predeceased sisters, Parmi G. Russo and Rose L. Cianfarini. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Antoinette M. Daoust will take place Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, MA., by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in the family Plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Omission of flowers is requested by the family.
