LEE -- Lucille H. Finch, 75, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Oct. 12 at Indigo Manor in Daytona Beach after a long illness.
Born in White River Junction, Vt., on April 6, 1932, daughter of Roy and Dorothy Cole Sears, she was educated in schools in Downsville, N.Y. She moved to Lee in 1967.
Mrs. Finch was a homemaker.
She was a communicant of the First Congregational Church in Lee. She enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, snowmobiling, music, and dancing.
Mrs. Finch married Leo W. Finch in 1950, he died in 1994.
She leaves two daughters, Wendy A. McAlister of Atlanta and Valerie F. Toomey of Pittsfield; a brother, Roy Sears of Highland, N.Y.; and four grandsons.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A celebration of the life of Lucille H. Finch, who died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Lee with an open house at her daughter's house, Valerie, of 8 Laflin Terrace, Pittsfield, to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions in the memory of Mrs. Finch may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis foundation. She also leaves her grandsons, Jeff Smith of Hawaii, Nick Smith of Atlanta, and Sean and Colin Toomey, both of Adams; two sons-in-law, Kevin P. Toomey of Pittsfield and Jim McAlister of Atlanta. She was predeceased by a sister, Pricella Kwasneski, and a brother, Nelson Sears. Lucille was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. She struggled with her illness for many years, but never lost her positive and happy spirit and witty sense of humor.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
