Merrill Lee Ebner

Of Arlington, MA, Professor Emeritus at Boston University, died on March 27, 2008. Survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, June F. Ebner and his brother, Ford Ebner, of Nashville, TN. Devoted father of Karl Ebner of Waltham, MA, John Ebner and his wife Amanda Punton of Portland, OR, Merrill R. Ebner and his wife Yvette Blanchard of West Hartford, CT, and Martha Ebner and her husband Benjamin Spencer of Northampton, MA. Grandfather of Mollie, Elise and Raisa Ebner of Portland, OR, Eric Ebner of West Hartford, CT, and Emmet and Calvin Spencer of Northampton, MA. Also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be missed by many and remembered for his devotion, friendship, kindness and generosity. Visiting hours on Wednesday, April 2, 4-8 p.m., at the Saville & Grannan Funeral Home, 418 Mass. Ave., ARLINGTON, MA 02474. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at the St. John's Episcopal Church, 74 Pleasant St., Arlington, MA 02476. Burial at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA.
