Karl R. Krueger Jr.

Of Kingston, passed on March 31, 2008 after a three-year battle with single cell sarcoma. Karl was 75 years old. He was born at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth on January 31, 1933. He began a career with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in 1963 where he was a member of the original team of two-man submarine project ALVIN. Karl finished his career with General Dynamics after the close of the shipyard following thirty-eight years of service. Karl is survived by his wife Beulah P. (Atkinson) Krueger, his daughter Sharon L. (Krueger) Carlson and husband Edward T. of CA. His son Karl R. Krueger III of Boston, son in law David DeCost of Chepachet, RI. His sisters Ingrid Holman and Sheila Eufrazio. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Daughter Karlin (Krueger) DeCost who passed in November 2007. A strong love of nature and the outdoors found a perfect union 52 years ago when Karl and Beulah joined in marriage. Karl adopted Beulah's birthplace in Aroostook County as his own and spent countless hours in the woods of Aroostook County hunting and fishing. A memorial service to celebrate Karl's life will be held on Thursday, April 3rd at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 384 Court St, N. Plymouth.
