Hi Dad, Happy New Year. I heard a country song called "Delta Dawn" and it reminded me of you. It went something like this: "Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on, could it be a faded rose from days gone by and did I hear you say he was meeting you here today to take you to his mansion in the sky."
I guess that was Gods intention on the morning of April 3, 2008 to take and welcome you to his mansion in the sky.
Dad, it's so wonderful to think of you, but it's being without you that really hurts.
You will always remain forever in my heart.
Love,
Your Son Bobby

Daddy,
"Happy Fourth of July"! I wish that you were here to watch the fireworks with Mum on television as you always did. This year you would have really enjoyed it because they had Grammy Award winners Rascal Flatts, also the Armed Forces were honored for their dedication to the country. The fighter jets flew over the Esplanade also. You are always in my heart and you will never be forgotten.
Your Son Bobby :)

Dear Dad," Happy Father's Day"
I never knew what it felt like losing a father, but now I know - it really hurts. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I have a picture of you in my office at work which makes me feel close to you. I keep my car and office radio tuned in to country music and wear your Skin Bracer aftershave everyday. You were not here for Mother's Day, my Birthday and Robert's Confirmation but I know you were there in spirit. I felt bad because I know you loved family gatherings. Linda and I and the kids visit you weekly and say a prayer. We all miss you. Lastly, you might be lost but you will never be forgotten.
Love Always,
Your Son Bobby

Peggy,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Bob was a wonderful neighbor, and I always enjoyed talking with him about your beautiful garden. I remember how he was always so kind and patient with the children. Adam and I feel very lucky to have had the chance to get to know you both for the short time that we lived next door.

GRAMPS,
I still can't believe that you have seperated from us and that God has taken you through heavens gates. It seems that I was just with you yesterday. The greatest memories were at your birthday parties and on Thanksgiving, those always seemed to be the biggest get togethers. My favorite memories were when me and my father would help you in the garden and when I would watch the Red Sox games with you. You would tell me about all of your favorite players on the team... hahaha. I WILL miss you waving at us when we would leave in the car. Every time we started to drive off I would always look through the window and see waving and smiling. Well, I can go on longer but I covered everything that I wanted to say... so R.I.P love you. ( The Original Townie).

I love you Grampy so much! You are the only grandfather I ever knew. I remember going over your house in the spring and listening to you talk about flowers. I didn't have any idea what you were talking about, but I went along with it because you got so excited talking about your garden. When we would leave I expected you to be at the door waving goodbye, and you ALWAYS did. You might not have thought twice about it, but it meant a lot to me. I know you're happy in Heaven and I'm sure you'll have a great time with my Papa. You'll always be in my heart!

Dad,
You were a great role model, a wonderful father and a great friend. I will miss my yearly phone calls in which you would remind me to set the clocks ahead or back for daylight savings time. I will miss your continuous updates on all the goings on in Charlestown. But most of all I will miss your big, genuine, smile. It lit up any room. You were always there for me. I know you will always be looking out for me. I miss you already.

Usually I don’t express my feelings openly. I guess I am just like my father. My father was a very modest man and didn’t take much to make him happy. He loved to have his birthday parties with the family. He was always there for his family no matter how big or small the issue. My father loved plants and nature. He was always feeding the animals around the yard. His yard was like a forest. Yes, there are still trees in Charlestown. My father was well known around Charlestown and he didn’t even know it. People would come up to me and say, “I saw your father walking down the Navy Yard again.” He loved to walk around the town saying “Hi” and waving to people. This made him very happy and put a smile on his face. My father was getting very excited because spring was right around the corner. Warm weather means it’s time to walk again.
Always remember once they’re gone they’re gone forever. Take the time to enjoy your family.
Love Always,
Your Son Kevin

Daddy,
We knew little that morning, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and although we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
Love Always and Forever,
Your Son Bobby
