I was very much saddened to dsicover that your father passed away. Long ago, I had an inspiring conversation with him about public service and wanted to hear more. Did he ever write up his experiences? Please accept my condolences and extend my sympathy to all your family.

Over several decades, I found him a gentleman to work for, and saw he was a fine family man, as well as a model citizen. Best to all the family. You have a great man to remember.

Hi Tom, Kate and kids -- Just a word now from this reporter who knew Champ when he was just another ink-stained wretch in the nooz biz. You know how much Anne and I loved your parents. how much Anne admired Marie and how I felt the same for your Dad. They both made the world a bettter place than the way they found it.
