It is with deepest regards and sympathies that I express how terribly sorry I am to hear of Joe's passing. On behalf of Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem, NH and the Amputee Support Group, our deepest condolences. Joe was a dedicated, motivated and appreciative volunteer who assisted some of our patients facing the day in and day out challenges of an amputation. Joe was able to provide support, caring and positive outlook to these patients in giving them insight to healthy coping strategies while striving towards an independent socio-leisure lifestyle. His presence and viability will be tremendously missed, not only through his peer visitations and support group attendance, but also at our annual holiday gathering when we reflect on another year. Please rest assure that a toast and acknowledgement to Joe Healey of his character, friendship and goodwill is to be recognized and appreciated when his fellow supporters gather December 20th, 2008. Thank you Joe for your time with us and the time you took to uplift others. God Bless to the Healey family and his fortunate friends.
Sincerely and with great sympathy,
Glenn C. Fogg, Therapeutic Recreation Department; Volunteer Orienter; Amputee Support Group facilitator: Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital, Salem, NH
