Peter and others of his generation remain vital pieces in the family matrix, missed by us all but never lost or forgotten.
December 10, 2015
It is wonderful to see that Peter remains a presence with those that knew him. For my children, Peter's cousins, he was a larger-than-life character -- that quiet giant with a great sense of humor. My fondest memories are with Peter and his father, Lou, here in the Sonora Desert as we explored distant landscapes and wandered off trail. Memories are powerful. Peter was a gift.

Miss you Peter, I think of you always , especially when a job calls for a expert opinion , or a tough cut. I went through a box of photos of yours today, and held you 5 year medallion, even though your memory is strong as ever , it's just not the same as filling the freezer with 50 pints of Ben n Jerrys. Cant believe it has been six years...it still feels like just yesterday we were eating whole ice cream cakes on my birthday and building filas dog house... everyone told me that this pain in my heart would pass over time, but it hasn't. i still cry myself to sleep when your not there for advice and support during my hard times, and when i drive past that round building in Attleboro you always used to tell me jokes about and when i look at my elephant tattoo on my foot i got in your memory. it hasn't gotten easier and im not sure if it ever will but i keep my fingers crossed that someday it will because i know your watching over me and protecting me through this rough journey my life has been. i pray to you almost every night uncle pete and i miss you more than words could ever describe. P.s. we found out we are having a boy :) and we are proundly naming him Peter William Geoffrion. after the most courageous, selfless, caring, smart, loving, person i know. i love and miss you uncle pete and cant wait to see you again. rest easy up there <3 forever and ever always

I think of Peter every July, on his birthday, but especially around Thanksgiving. I remember wonderful times in Ipswich and being astounded by his ability to connect the phone to his speakers, thereby enhancing our gobble calls. He was so smart and capable, even at a very young age. We miss you Peter!

I want to thank you all for your kind words during this difficult time.
It is simply impossible for me to express in words the loss I have suffered. Peter was not only my brother but my best friend. When Peter passed away he took a big piece of me with him forever.
I admired, learned from, looked up to, and LOVED Peter. He was always unique in his ways. His kind heart and caring of others was evident by his willingness to ALWAYS offer a helping hand or words of advice to others when needed.
Peter I was lonley and lost in life when we first met. You gave me a family I had yearned for all of my life. I can never thank you enough for that.
We learned the hard way most of our lives growing up together. The last several years of my life with you as two mature adults were some of the BEST years of my life.
To this day I just do not understand and am at a loss of words. I have loss my brother and my Best Friend. I am sad every day and talk out loud to you in hopes that you know just how much you mean to me.
May God and mom keep you safe and sound until we meet again in Heaven.
Pete I love you and miss you very much never forget or doubt that for a minute.
Love your Brother/Best Friend,
Bill

Hello Lou,
Michelle & I would like to express our deepest condolences to you and your family. I would like to share with you my favorite prayer.
It has helped me through some of my most difficult times and I hope it grants you some peace and understanding through yours.
The Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred, Let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, Joy.
O Divine Master grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled As to console;
To be understood,as to understand;
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Love,
David & Michelle

I am very deeply saddened by Peter's passing. Lou, my heart and thoughts are with you and all our kin back East. Peter has always been a strong character in my life - even if we did not see each other often. I have incredibly fond memories of the silliest things; once, at age nine or ten, I was sleeping on the floor of his room. He left his old sneakers right by my head, just so I could enjoy the pleasure of their aroma. This sense of humor, plus his unswerving commitment to help a person in need, made Peter a very admirable cousin. I will miss him dearly.
