Edith Sanderson Obituary

Formerly of Winthrop, MA, more recently of Shelburne, VT. Entered into rest May 27, 2008 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Warren. Devoted mother of Lisa Haney and her husband Gary Ritchie of Escondido, CA, and Douglas Sanderson and his wife Audrey Goldstein of McLean, VA. Grandmother of three, including her beloved grandsons Daniel Haney of Los Angeles, CA and Scott Sanderson of McLean, VA and beloved granddaughter Phoebe Sanderson of McLean, VA. Loving sister of George Lamm of Malden, MA. Past President of Vermont Chapter of League of Women Voters. Proud holder of Phi Beta Kappa honors from Florida State University, who did volunteer work for various literacy groups and who informally and formally edited scholarly publications in the fields of art and architectural history. Traveled extensively with Warren in Europe. Previously resided in Florence, Italy; Trier, Germany; Montreal, Que., Canada, and many cities in the U.S. A graveside service will be held at the West Roxbury Lodge, Baker St. Cemetery, West Roxbury, on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Edith Sanderson may be made to the Jewish Community Foundation of San Diego, at 4950 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92123, and designated to the Edith Sanderson Memorial Fund. Contributions will be distributed through the UJF to organizations in Israel as well as to Temple Sinai in Burlington, Vermont and other organizations that were important to Mrs. Sanderson.
