Frances Saia Obituary

1934-2008, 74, of Holyoke died Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Holyoke. Frances was born in Dorchester, MA, daughter of the late Andrew & Mary E. McA'Nulty, and was a graduate of St. Gregory in Dorchester. She was a member of the Holyoke Cane Club where she was an avid tennis player. Frances is survived by her children, Stephen V. and Diane Saia of Pembroke, MA; Matthew F. & Trish Saia of Holyoke, Marianne Baush of Holyoke, Elisabeth A. & Mitch McCann of Chelmsford, MA, and Andrea J. Saia of Braintree, she leaves her grandchildren, Kristin Baush, Kathleen, Brynn and Taryn O'Sullivan, Jackson, Max, and Luke Saia, Laurel, Marissa, and Evan Saia, Derek, Kristy, and Madeline McCann, and Sam Saia, and 1 great-grandson Jacob Baush-Lynch and her former husband, Frank R. Saia of Longmeadow. She leaves 2 brothers, Donald McA'Nulty of West Roxbury, and Nyal McA'Nulty of Milton, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Polhman of Florida, and Margaret Donaghue of Quincy, and several nieces and nephews, and she also leaves her beloved dog, Otto. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the Barry J, Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., HOLYOKE, Followed by a Mass at 9:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Today from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Suite 450, Newton, MA 02458-1287,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'll always remember her giggle. I loved sitting in your kitchen, as a kid, listening to her make my mom laugh. She was one of the most peaceful people I ever met. I'm sure she will truly be missed. You were all so lucky to have her in your lives.
