Ruth M. Hamel

Age 78, passed away at her home in Haverhill on Sunday, June 1, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of 54 years of the late John E. Hamel; devoted mother of John E. Hamel, Jr. and his wife Joan and Christopher D. Hamel and his wife Maureen; Kathleen M. Stevens and her husband Jay of Haverhill; Kelly M. Hamel all of Haverhill; Janeen M. Chin of Gorham, ME and Susan C. Frank and her husband James of Washington, ME. She also leaves 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and two lifelong friends, Mrs. Jacqueline Nissi and Mrs. Patricia Wicks. Besides her husband, Mrs. Hamel is predeceased by an infant daughter, Maureen J.; a sister, Katherine T. Sayers; and two brothers, Edward C. Kelley and John V. Kelley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main Street, Bradford, followed by interment in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Visiting hours at Paul C.
