Dearest All,
As niece to Mary Eliza, I was so blessed as part of her greater family all my life. Did she ever know how her quiet presence reached me?
The McDaniel children (my cousins)and grandchildren are beautiful people who continue Tilman's and Mary Eliza's giving ways through diverse channels that continue to bring growth, change and healing.
When I saw her for the last time, there were photos on the wall and most memorable was one of her with Tilman in Maine, looking relaxed, open and beautiful surrounded by nature.
Her's is a life to celebrate. Love, Les

Mary Eliza and I worked together at the gift shop of the BIDeaconess for several years and I had become very fond of her and so enjoyed her calm approach to life. I will miss seeing her and hearing about her but am thankful she will no longer be suffering. She will always live in my heart.

To the McDaniel family:
I took care of Mary Eliza at Youville Hospital during her stay there and often wondered about her after she left. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. She was a graceful, classy woman and I enjoyed listening to her anecdotes. Mary Eliza's insight was beautiful and she very obviously loved and adored her children. My thoughts are with you in this most difficult time.

Mary Eliza was a great Lady and friend to us all at Longwood Cricket Club. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered.
