Joseph G. Loeffler M.D.

Age 57, loving husband and father, died at his home in Millington, NJ surrounded by his family on May 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Karen (Dickinson) Loeffler, formerly of Stoughton, MA and their four children; Kara La Rocco and her husband Thomas, Joseph G. Loeffler, Jr., Hope Loeffler, and Paul Loeffler; his parents; Henry A. and Carmella Loeffler; one brother; Paul Loeffler; two sisters; Hope Loeffler and Margaret DePaul. Dr. Loefflers first grandchild, Julianna Grace La Rocco was born on May 31, 2008. Dr. Loeffler received a Bachelor of Arts from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. In 1978, he earned his Doctorate of Medicine from The Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City, NY. Dr. Loeffler was in private practice for 26 years. He had been the Chairman of the Department of Medicine and was the Chief in the Section of Primary Care of Internal Medicine at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. A Mass of the Resurrection was held on May 30, 2008 at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, NJ.
