I met Dr.Rivitz in 2003 when I came to NWH.I remember that he always seemed serious but then I came to realize that he had a quirky sense of humor. Every morning he came into CT to greet us and we always checked out his ties. He had a story behind everyone of them and proudly would tell us that his wife or boys gave it to him. I loved working with him and he will be dearly missed

Mitch was a great friend and colleague. His passing leaves a void which can never be filled. He will always be missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. My deepest sympathy to Betsy, William and Benjamin.

Mitch was the finest brother-in-law a man could have. He was steady, calm, thoughtful, witty, and smart. My love goes out to Betsy, William, Ben, and Suzy.

To Betsy, Ben and William,
I consider myself very honored to have worked with Mitch for years. I will always remember his great smile, laugh and that little twinkle in his eye. He loved to teach and was very patient. Always came to work with stories of his beloved family. He was very supportive of me while I took care of my brother. It saddens and bewilders me that the same illness that took my brother, took Mitch.
He loved to quote lines from Young Frankenstein and if you could quote back, well that just made his day.
His great mind and personality will be missed. The world is a better place because he was in it. I feel fortunate to have had him as a friend. My heart aches for you all. God Speed.
