Nonna (that's what we knew you as)
It was a pleasure for us to meet and
know you. You were a beautiful lady and your family will miss you, but to them you're not really gone because they'll always have you in their hearts. You've left some great memories with all of us. Rest now, be at peace, shine down
on this earth and guide us all to a better life. God Love You!

Nonna...You meant so much to so many, yet knew so little of how much you meant to us all. Your humility was such a part of who you were.
Still, the way you laughed so easily with all of us - kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids - is what we'll remember about you the most. Speaking to us in that familiar Italian-English language, telling us stories about Scanno and your days as a mason, with such clarity in your 90's...sharing tales about raising 4 kids on "a loaf of bread", and of course, making sure we were all fed, or, overfed. You were our very own "Lucia Ball"...she was no funnier than you!
In between laughs, you listened to all of us with wide eyes as we shared the details of our zany lives, stories about work, school, cooking, baking, child-rearing...conversations that usually ended with your bewilderment about how we did it all! Your quizzical facial expressions made it all the more fun for us to talk with you, and always offered us a window of perspective into our busy, often fragmented, world...
We will miss you...but do take comfort in that someone we loved so much is no longer in pain here on earth. We know you're in good hands with God, and look forward to catching up again, albeit, a long, long, time from now...!!! Love, Chris, Robin, Nick and Robert LoConte

Lucia, God's Angel, I am a dear friend of one of your devoted daughter's Jeannie whom you selflessly brought into this world and raised along with your other loving children. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting you once when I was invited to Jeannie's for open house at Easter. That was my first and only introduction to meeting you and found you to be quite charming and outgoing. I must say however, I did get to know you so much more through proxy and by Jeannie's expressions, reflections, and dedication of you in your last few weeks of your life here on this earth, and all what you meant to her and how much you truly gave of yourself to all who loved you. Because of this, I have more than just a glimpse of the beautiful child, woman, person God created and put on this earth so as to continue your wonderful legacy and that which you leave behind. I also know that God has taken you to relieve you (and your loved ones) of any unnecessary pain, and has now tenderly placed your sweet soul in a resting place of eternal peace and happiness!

my nonna....my angel...words cannot describe how much we all miss you. Thank you so much for the love you have given us all. Not a day will go by where we do not all think of you and miss you. I love you so much.

Also thank you so much to the whole Buonfiglio family and staff you made one of the most difficult times in a family's life a little easier with your kindness and smiles. Thank you!!
