Mike was always a friend to me. When I moved to Sudbury, he and some of his friends came to my house and invited me to walk around the neighborhood with them. He was always kind and caring; an example to live by.

Sally, Phillip & Victoria:

I first learned of your loss a few months ago. I'm sorry I didn't write sooner.

I worked with Mike at Electric Insurance Company quite a few years ago. We were friends as well as co-workers. Mike was actually my boss and I can honestly say that I learned a lot from him and he always was very good to me. Even after we had both left the company, we stayed in touch, talking every few months.

The one thing that I will always remember the most about Mike was his never-ending passion for his children.

Phillip and Victoria, please know that your Dad loved you very, very much.

Best Regards,

Rick Pearce

I worked closely with Mike in Canada while he was a consultant for the yellow pages company I was with. I got to know him well and appreciate his great sense of humour and sense of fairness. I was utterly shocked when I heard of his passing and I regret the chance that I won’t get to see him again (until the next life). I especially appreciated Mike’s great love for Bobby Orr, as I lived in the town Bobby grew up in, Parry Sound, Ontario, which was only an hour away from where we were working. We talked of making a pilgrimage there but never got around to it before I left the company. I did give Mike a video of Bobby Orr’s greatest moments on ice, and he really appreciated that. I don’t know any of his family but, for what it’s worth in comfort to you, I want you to know that I have a firm conviction of life beyond the grave, and I know that you will all indeed see Mike again. God Bless.
