Of Hingham, formerly of East Dennis, June 17, 2008. Beloved husband for 65 years of Ruth (McGraw) Parker. Loving father of Edward Parker and his wife Karen of Andover and Cathy MacFarlane and her husband Scott of Needham. Dear grandfather of E. Christian Parker of Brooklyn, NY, Holly Parker of North Andover, Susannah Parker of Andover, Heather MacFarlane of West Roxbury and Scott MacFarlane and his fiance Monica Lordelo of Milton. Great grandfather of Carolyn Parker of Andover. A Funeral Service will be held at the Dennis Union Church, corner of Rte 6A and Old Bass River Road, East Dennis on Monday June 23 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment at MA National Cemetery in Bourne. Late graduate of Arlington High School, Northeastern University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While at Northeastern, Mr. Parker was part of several nationally ranked teams and captained the cross country team for two years. US Army World War II veteran and retired Lt. Colonel in the US Army reserves. Retired executive for GE, retiring in 1984 after over 36 years of service. Member of the Jazz Society of Sarasota FL, the Cape Cod Jazz Society and Mount Horeb Lodge A.F & A.M.in South Dennis.
