Joan & Andrea,
We can't tell you how shocked we were to hear of Dick's passing. Our family has many fond memories of our
softball outings. Andrea, your dad was a great coach both on and off the field. We know how much you and your mom will miss him. Our love and prayers are with you both.

Joan and Andrea,
I recently learned of Dick's passing and am truly sorry for your loss. How odd, but just this past weekend my dad was asking about Dick and did I know if he was still with the railroad. Dick touched the hearts of people far and wide. He will be missed. Take good care of yourselves and each other and let the people around you support you through this great loss. You are in my thoughts. Carol

I was so fortunate to be able to call Dick my best friend. We were twin brothers, as we would call one another. Me at 5'8" and Dick at 6'6". We were once compared to the movie "Twins" with Arnold and Danny DeVito. A great guy, tough on the outside but a marshmallow on the inside. He will be forever missed but never forgotten. My deepest sympathies to Joan and Andrea.

I was driving home from the supermarket yesterday asking Dick what he knew of the secrets of the universe now and I begged him to send me a sign that things are wonderful in the next life. Within seconds of my request, I saw the most beautiful rainbow straight in front of me on University Ave (not a lovely setting, but he sent it immediately and that was where I was at that moment!) The rainbow came out of the clouds and was very wide, brilliant and very close-up, like I've never seen before. Listen for him, I think Dick is still with us in many ways. My heart still hurts, and it is so uplifting to think he hears us. Love from one of his fellow Breslin Outlaws -- Elaine

Dick has been a great friend for 30 years. His smile and laugh could light up a room and I know it lit up our lives. He came to help whenever we needed him without fanfare but with genuine friendship. He loved his family and friends, that was plain to see. We loved him too and we can't imagine this world without him. Our deepest condolences to Joan and Andrea. We are hugging them in our hearts right now.
Love always
