Our sincere condolences to the entire family. Jimmy was a great neighbor on Stearns Ave for 45 years. I always enjoyed our chats in front of our houses on those cold mornings when we both were outside and clearing away the fresh falling snow and those warm spring and summer mornings just chatting about Stearns Ave. We are sadden to loose such a great neighbor who was a pleasure to know. May Jimmy rest in peace.

Neighbors,
Anthony & Adeline Ansaldi

How could one ever forget my brother Jim. Think back and picture him in his red Boston Garden uniform collecting tickets, showing you to your seat, or accompanying the Celtics and Bruins back to their locker rooms. Picture him at the Mystic Bakery bringing out that special birthday cake or wedding cake that they would make as a special order just for you. Or picture him leading a Greek dance at the many events he loved to attend. Picture him presiding over meetings for the Hellenic Square and Compass Club in order to decide which group needed their help. Picture him volunteering at the Greek Church in Central Sq. Cambridge. Picture him at Wonderland race track betting on a sure winner. Picture him with his family at the beach in Harwich Port Cape Cod after a hard day at the Mid Cape Bakery in Harwich Port. Picture him hitting that perfect long drive down the fairway hoping for that hole in one. But most of all, picture him as a seventeen year old kid in a U.S. Navy uniform defending our country in the Pacific during World War II. This was just a small sample of pictures of the life of my brother Jim. God rest his soul and may he forever rest in peace.
His family and friends will never forget him.

My earliest memories of visiting my grandparents on Stearns Ave include the great neighbors across the street. Through the years, it was always fun to see Jim & family at the bakery in the morning, and then on game days to see him again at the Boston Garden that night. My sincere condolences to the Kostopoulos family on the passing of Jim.
