Of Boston and Palm Beach, FL, on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Beloved wife of the late George J. Katz. Loving companion of Edward Schwarz. Devoted mother of Jennifer Katz Silver of Weston and George J. Katz, Jr. & his wife Lisa of Swampscott. Adored grandmother of Nicole, Geoffrey, Gillian and Gregory. Dear sister of Howard Harrison & Blythe Carey of NY and sister-in-law of Edna Katz of NH. Services at Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Avenue, Boston (parking available on the Riverway), on Thursday, June 26 at 10:30 AM. Burial in Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield. Memorial Observance through 8 PM Thursday, Friday 1-3:30 PM and Saturday 7-9 PM at the home of Jennifer Katz Silver and continuing Sunday 4-8 PM at the home of George J. Katz, Jr. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Katz Silver Lung Cancer Research Fund, c/o Beth, Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Office of Development, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, 02215. Jennifer and George,

I remember your mother as a vibrant and beautiful woman and a wonderful part of my childhood memories...along with your Dad. We are all saddened by her passing and sympathize with your loss.I am on the Vineyard but will be thinking of you and your families tomorrow and know that Mark will stop by on behalf of all the Sniders.
