My heart-felt condolences to Donald and the rest of Jo's family. As a longtime member of the Melrose UU Church, Jo was a wonderful woman who always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she encountered. A truly giving person, she will be sorely missed by all who had the privilige to know her.

To Jo's family...There are not to many people who smile when you say "good morning" but JO was one of a kind...So kind and friendly whenever we saw her on the elevators at the 64 building. Always with her Donald...always so pleasant..She will surely be missed on our 3rd floor..so sad to hear of her passing..Rest in peace Jo and suffer no more with that back pain that we always talked about... We Will you miss you!!!

I have very fond memories of Jo Gould when she lived on Pine Street as I was a teenaged neighbor long ago who babysat for Ellen and David. She was alway kind, soft spoken, considerate and a lovely person to know. I send my condolences to Don, Ellen, David and family. Sincerely, Debbie Hansen Burke, formerly of Melrose now of Killington, Vermont.
