E. Jane Newell Marso

Died on July 8, 2008, at Mass. General Hospital after a long battle with several debilitating illnesses. She was born on Oct. 5, 1926 in Hopedale, and later lived a full and wonderful life in Marion; a community that she loved and to which she was fully committed. She is survived by her loving husband Robert whom she married in 1950 and who will miss her profoundly and forever for her love, her companionship and her deep strength of family. She is also survived by her children; Robert D. Marso, Jr. and, Anne Love Marso of Coldwater, MI, Marianne Marso McKenna of Lexington, MA, and Jeffrey N. Marso and Christine Ye of Ridgefield, WA. In addition others who loved her include her grandchildren; Tori Christina McKenna, Gregory Robert McKenna, Matthew Steven McKenna, Emily Wei-An Marso and Caroline Wei-Fun Marso, and Kathryn Newell Marso and Virginia Taft Marso. She dearly loved playing bridge and golf with her many friends. She loved her computer and was an avid and voracious reader of all books and information. She enjoyed volunteering had many friends and acquaintances from many avenues in Marion. A remembrance & internment service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 4 pm in the Memorial Garden at the First Congregational Church in Marion. A reception in the church garden will follow the ceremony. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that any contributions (gratefully accepted) be given to the Elizabeth Tabor Library, P.O. Box 116, Marion, MA 02738, in her memory in the hope that this will inspire others to read & live through books!
